Privacy Policy
Dunbar Pest Control ("we") is a family-owned pest control business in the San Fernando Valley. This policy explains what information we collect when you book with us, text us or use this website, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Contact and service details you give us: name, phone number, email, service address, gate or access notes, pets and kids at home, what pests you're seeing, answers to our booking questions, and photos you choose to send.
- Text messages and calls with our business phone, so we can reply, book visits and keep a record of what you asked for.
- Service and billing records: visit dates, what we treated, invoices and whether they're paid. We don't see or store your full card number; card payments are handled by our payment processor.
- Basic technical data our hosting provider logs to keep the site running and secure (such as IP address and browser type). We don't use analytics trackers or advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To schedule and perform your service, find your address on our route, and give you an arrival window.
- To text you about your service: confirmations, reminders, "on my way" notes, bills and receipts, and follow-ups you asked for.
- To bill you and keep records of the work we did.
- To answer your questions and improve our service.
We don't sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we don't send you marketing from other companies.
Text messages
When you give us your number or text us, we'll text you about your service. Message frequency varies (usually a few messages per visit). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time and we won't text you again; reply HELP or call us for help. Agreeing to texts isn't a condition of getting service. You can always call instead.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Our payment processor (Square) to send invoices and take payments.
- Our web host (Cloudflare) to run this website and booking pages.
- Address lookup services (such as the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoder) to place your address on our route map.
- Apple Messages / your phone carrier to deliver texts.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep customer and service records while you're a customer and for as long as we need them for billing, warranty and legal record-keeping. Photos and messages you send are kept with your customer record. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Delete or see your information
Email or text us at DunbarPest@yahoo.com or call/text (818) 235-8168 and say "delete my information" or "send me my information." We'll confirm it's you (usually by texting the number on file) and respond within 30 days. We may keep records we're required to keep by law (for example, records of pesticide applications and completed payments) and will tell you if that applies.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and you won't be treated differently for asking. We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
Children
Our services and this site are for adults arranging service for their home or business. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
Customer records are kept on a computer we control, behind a password, and booking pages use encrypted (https) connections. No system is perfect, so please don't send us sensitive information like card numbers or Social Security numbers by text.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we'll update the date below. Questions: DunbarPest@yahoo.com or call/text (818) 235-8168.
Effective October 15, 2026.
